Bio
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, I moved to the Cincinnati region in 2014 to attend Xavier University, where I studied in an honors political philosophy program. While at Xavier, I worked on many political campaigns, interned in several state and local government offices, and wrote extensively about urban history. After undergrad I spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA studying the housing inventory in Over-The-Rhine while earning a fifth-year masters degree in public affairs from Xavier.
After my five years at Xavier, I worked for a Cincinnati-based real estate developer, learning directly about the development process and the impacts of local, state, and federal policy on housing development. I also honed-in my academic skillset by earning an additional masters degree in finance and a graduate certificate in real estate from the University of Cincinnati.
Unfortunately, in December, 2023, I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. Thanks to an incredible support network of family, friends, doctors, nurses, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), I am incredibly lucky and happy to be cancer-free and feeling healthy!
Starting in February, 2025, I got back to work doing what I love in an exciting new role in program management for a nonprofit real estate lender in Cincinnati.
I live in a 100+ year-old home in Ludlow, Kentucky, with my wife, Meagan, and our black lab, Xoey. In my free time I like to walk, travel, hike, camp, cook, bike, and host friends for Euchre or Settlers of Catan.
